AE-42It is an instrument for real-time observation of black carbon aerosols, capable of simultaneously detecting ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared7Long term observation of atmospheric black carbon aerosols at different wavelengths. Widely used globally and in China, including in the Antarctic, Arctic, and China Aerosol Observation Network.

Black carbon aerosols (BC) are the most important light absorbing substance in atmospheric aerosols, accounting for over 90% to 95% of the total light absorption, except for some special weather conditions such as sandstorms and dust. The black carbon analyzer measures the absorption characteristics of black carbon aerosols towards light. The instrument observation uses a uniformly transparent quartz fiber membrane to collect atmospheric aerosol samples. The quartz fiber membrane can basically eliminate the influence of non absorbing components of aerosols on transmittance measurement.

Measuring the light absorption of black carbon aerosols using seven wavelength light sources at 520, 590, 660, 880, and 950 nm can provide comprehensive information on the optical properties of black carbon aerosols, which is beneficial for eliminating the influence of interfering substances;

The black carbon meter can monitor the mass concentration of black carbon in real time.

Portable black carbon meter (independent portable chassis), can choose dual band or multi band, dual band time recording can be adjusted from 1 minute to 1 hour, and seven band time recording can be adjusted from 2 minutes to 1 hour.

The BC measurement value of the black carbon analyzer can be equivalently converted to the EC measurement value of the thermal optical carbon analysis method. The instrument itself has a menu option for EC (Elemental)

Display readings in units of carbon. The measurement accuracy reaches 0.1ug/m3 in 1 minute (with a sampling flow rate of 3 liters per minute).

By using reinforced quartz filter membrane, automatic membrane replacement can be achieved.

The black carbon analyzer is easy to operate, reliable in operation, and requires minimal maintenance. Observation can be automatically restored after a power outage.

Built in gas mass flowmeter and microcomputer controlled sampling pump, with a sampling flow rate of 2-5 liters/minute (adjustable), stable operation.

At the same time, it provides three data recording methods: 512MB CF card (which can be configured to be replaced with a larger capacity storage card according to user requirements) for storing data, analog and digital output.
